Volunteer Help Available to Help Clean After Storm and Donation Line Established

Volunteer assistance is available for those cleaning up their homes and businesses following Wednesday’s floods. Vermont’s Crisis Cleanup line is active and will help callers with cleanup.

Vermont’s Crisis Cleanup line is active, and impacted Vermonters can call to request cleanup assistance from volunteer groups and organizations.

The Crisis Cleanup hotline to request assistance is: 802-242-2054

Vermonters who would like to volunteer for this or other tasks can do so through their local volunteer efforts or register at www.vermont.gov/volunteer to be notified of volunteer needs in their community.

Those who wish to donate to flood recovery can do so through the Vermont Flood Response & Recovery Fund at www.vtfloodresponse.org/

The most efficient way to get aid to people and communities in need is through cash donations.

Small donations of food, clothing, and household items are best handled at the local level. Food shelves, community centers, and other local charities have the best information about local needs.

For mental health support, call: 9-8-8
