Vermont Flood/Ice Jam Seminars in February
Vermont Emergency Management and its partners will host Vermont’s annual Spring Flooding/Ice Jam Seminars throughout February. These gatherings are an opportunity for emergency managers and community leaders to hear the latest forecast for spring flooding, learn more about emergency response assistance available from state agencies, emergency planning, disaster recovery, hazard mitigation opportunities, and other topics.
All are welcome to attend the seminars, and are geared towards local Emergency Management Directors, community leaders who may one day be involved in a disaster response or recovery, including seeking federal disaster assistance.
All spring flooding seminars will be from 10am – 12pm at the following locations:
Waterbury – Friday, February 8: Vermont Department of Public Safety, State Emergency Operations Center, 45 State Drive, Waterbury, VT (photo ID required for building access).
Lyndonville – Tuesday, February 12: Lyndon Public Safety Building, 316 Main Street, Lyndonville, VT.
Swanton – Thursday February 14: Swanton Town Office, 1 Academy Street, Swanton, VT.
White River Junction – Tuesday, February 19: Hartford Town Hall, 171 Bridge Street, White River Junction, VT.
Manchester Center – Thursday, February 21: Park House, 340 Recreation Park Road, Manchester Center, VT.
