Seeking EM Director of the Year Nominations

Vermont Emergency Management is seeking nominations for the 2020 Emergency Management Director of the Year! The recipient will be recognized at the Virtual Vermont Emergency Preparedness Conference in September.

Emergency Management Directors are the key coordination link between residents, local governments, first responders, and the state.  These individuals have direct responsibility for the organization, administration, and coordination of the local organization for emergency management, and they work diligently before, during, and after emergencies to meet these responsibilities.  This award recognizes and celebrates excellence in this role.

To be eligible, a nominee must:

       •  Have been a duly appointed Emergency Management Director for his/her municipality at some point between October 1, 2019 and September 1, 2020.

       •  Be from a town/city with a current Local Emergency Management Plan on file with Vermont Emergency Management.

       •  Be enrolled in the Vermont EMD Certification Program or completed training within the program.

Please help us recognize the excellent work and achievements being made by Vermont Emergency Management Directors by filling out the 2020 EMD of the Year nomination form by 5pm on August 21st.
