Seeking Emergency Management Director of the Year Nominations
Emergency Management Directors are the key coordination link between residents, local governments, first responders, and the state. These individuals have direct responsibility for the organization, administration, and coordination of the local organization for emergency management, and they work diligently before, during, and after emergencies to meet these responsibilities. Annually, Vermont Emergency Management recognizes and celebrates excellence in this role by awarding the Emergency Management Director of the Year award. To be eligible, a nominee must:
- Have been a duly appointed Emergency Management Director for their town/city at some point between October 1, 2020 and September 1, 2021.
- Be from a town/city with a current Local Emergency Management Plan on file with Vermont Emergency Management.
- Be enrolled in the Vermont EMD Certification Program or completed trainings within the program.
Please help us recognize the excellent work and achievements being made by Vermont Emergency Management Directors by filling out the 2021 EMD of the Year nomination form by noon on August 19th.
