RACES Radiological Emergency Response Operators

As part of VEM’s Radiological Emergency Response Program, RACES operators are responsible for staffing up to 12 stations within the emergency planning zone towns in Windham County and at the VEM Emergency Operations Center. During drills and events, operators coordinate response information within this region as well as relay messages to the state Emergency Operations Center and other strategic locations.
