Department of Public Safety

The Emergency Management Program Planner will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and informational work at a technical level involving the provision of emergency planning support for the Department of Public Safety in conjunction with regional and national emergency response initiatives specifically relating to hazard mitigationMinimum qualifications for this position include a Bachelor's degree and either one (1) year or more of experience at a technical or professional level in program administration or community planning OR one (1) year or more of experience in emergency management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Preferably, the candidate will possess skills relating to FEMA hazard mitigation, municipal planning, grant management, data management, finance and accounting, mortgage processing, and  customer service/dispute resolution.  For more information, contact Ray Doherty at  Reference Job Opening #614690.  Location: Waterbury.
